Daughter of The Potter’s Mission:

God desires nothing more than to have a deep, loving, and intimate relationship with his children. As our relationship with God grows, He begins to refine us, and naturally we take on a shape that resembles his more. At Daughter of The Potter, my mission is to help foster that realationship and to lean into that growth and refinement. I hope that through this blog you would become emboldened and encouraged in your relationship with God. That you would come to understand your identity as a daughter in Christ. That we would explore the truths in scripture and let them shape our life and everything we do. We are on a journey together to become Women of God.

About Me:

Here is my truth: I found my identity, my purpose, my calling in the narrative I tried so hard to push against. I’ve always been religious, but I most certainly did not always have a deep, intimate, and loving relationship with God. I dismissed the view of biblical womanhood. I would not be the dutiful, submissive helpmate. Nor did I ever want to have children (for my own selfish reasons). You see, I wanted control and power over my own life, and I was white-knuckling it while attempting to do it all in the name of Jesus. And the worst part was, I thought I was excelling at it.

Until one day I realized that if God was going to mold me, shape me, into his daughter, I needed to let go of my control (not easy and still working on it). I had fallen victim to the lies of our culture that: A). Biblical Christianity is somehow deemed radical Christianity, and B).  That the titles of wife and mom are not a fulfilling enough purpose. So here I am, flipping the switch on society’s deception with a call to live in God’s purpose and design. “Daughter of The Potter” is a space for just that – a space to grow deeper in relationship and understanding of God while also being refined in His image. It’s a commitment to surrendering oneself to be molded with purpose and shaped by His Truth.
